Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka Tour Itinerary

Day 1
Morning/Afternoon: Arrive at Narita (NRT) or Haneda (HND) Airport, transfer to your hotel in Tokyo, and check in.
Late Afternoon: Head to Shinjuku. Explore the Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden for a peaceful start.
Evening: Experience the vibrant nightlife of Shinjuku. Dine in one of the many local restaurants and perhaps visit an observation deck for a view of the cityscape.
Day 2
Morning: Visit the serene Meiji Shrine, a forest oasis in the city dedicated to Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken. Afterward, explore the nearby Harajuku fashion street.
Afternoon: Travel to Asakusa, home to the historic Senso-ji Temple, Tokyo's oldest Buddhist temple. Browse the traditional shops along Nakamise Street for snacks and souvenirs.
Evening: Walk through the neon-lit streets of Akihabara, known as "Electric Town," for anime and pop culture, or explore the upscale shopping district of Ginza.
Day 3
Morning: Take a day trip to the Mt. Fuji area. Activities often include visiting the Fuji Visitor Center, touring the 5th Station (weather permitting), a scenic Lake Ashi Cruise, and a ride on the Komagatake Ropeway for stunning views.
Afternoon/Evening: Return to a major station (like Tokyo or Shinagawa) and board the Shinkansen (bullet train) for Kyoto or Osaka. The journey takes about 2-2.5 hours. Check into your hotel in the Kansai region.
Day 4
Morning: Visit the iconic Fushimi Inari Taisha shrine and walk under its thousands of vibrant red torii gates.
Afternoon: Head to the Arashiyama district to stroll through the famous Bamboo Grove and visit nearby temples. You could also visit the stunning Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion) Zen Buddhist temple.
Evening: Explore the historic Gion district, known for traditional wooden machiya houses and the chance to spot a geisha (geiko) or maiko in the evenings.
Day 5
Morning: If time permits, visit the impressive Osaka Castle or the nearby Nara Park to interact with the friendly, free-roaming deer and visit the Todai-ji Temple, which houses the Great Buddha.
Afternoon: Head to the airport (Kansai International Airport, KIX, is a common departure point for this region) for your departure, bringing home many memories.
